Guitar Scribble was created by Rob Andrew, a professional guitarist and guitar teacher based in San Diego, California. He wanted a simple tool to jot down riffs for students, YouTube and bandmates. After frustration with existing tab tools, the solution was to build a simple and quick tab editor great for "scribbling" ideas without standard notation knowledge.
The goal was a tab editor that gets out of your way. No ads cluttering the workspace. No forced accounts just to jot down a riff. No rhythm entry requirements slowing down the creative process, with full rhythm notation and playback there when you want them. Just a clean, fast, and capable tool that works in your browser the moment you need it.

There is nothing to download and nothing to install: every tool runs right in your browser, and you can use the tab editor without even creating an account. The person who built it is the same person who answers the support emails.
The tab editor, metronome, tuner, chord tools, and trivia game are free, with no trial clock and no feature bait-and-switch. A free account adds PDF and PNG downloads from the tab editor, plus cloud saving for a few tabs, chord sheets, diagrams, and a set list. The "catch" is simply that there's an optional Pro plan ($4.99 a month or $39 a year) for unlimited saves and watermark-free exports. That, plus a small commission if you buy gear through our recommendations and the occasional merch sale, is what pays the hosting bill. There are currently no ads anywhere on the site, and the editor will always stay ad-free.
Payments are handled by Stripe, one of the largest payment processors on the internet. Your card number goes to Stripe, not to us; we never see it or store it. You can cancel Pro anytime from your account page and keep access through the time you already paid for.
