Smoother editing at line ends, mobile copy and paste
Jul 29, 2026
A batch of editor improvements, several straight from user feedback. Two-digit frets now stay together at the end of a full line: whether you type the digits or use the keypad's fret buttons, the whole number moves to the next line instead of splitting across two. Insert Column works even when a line is full, rolling the last column onto the next line so you can shift everything right without retyping. Deleting is smarter too: the Delete key removes the note under the cursor, and Backspace now clears the note you are sitting on when there is nothing but line behind it, so the last note on a line is easy to remove. And for phones and tablets: select notes with press-and-hold and a floating Copy / Cut / Paste bar appears, with a new Paste button on the keypad for one-tap pasting wherever your cursor is. The Help page covers all of it. Please report any issues.

Lyrics over Chords
Jul 22, 2026
The lyrics over chords maker now has an "x line" button for deleting the current line. This can also get rid of empty lines that make your layout wonky. Additionally, I have added a "pre-chorus" label button. Don't forget you can also simply type your labels or chords if they don't exist in the built-in keyboards.

Chord Progression Maker updates
Jul 21, 2026
Interface revamp: The editor now has a clean three-zone layout. Setup at the top (song details, presets, chord name style, chart size, bars per line), the chart in the middle with Preview, PNG, PDF, Share, and Save buttons repeated right below it, and a redesigned bottom keyboard with four tabs: Chords, Bars, Endings & Signs, and Sections. Every editing tool now lives in the keyboard, so there is far less scrolling, especially on iPad. Undo and redo sit beside the tabs on every pane.
Clean workspace: New "Hide intro" and "Hide setup" chips collapse the page header and the setup area, leaving just your chart and the keyboard. Both choices are remembered.
New chart options: Chart size (S, M, L) and Bars per line (4, or 8 at half width) are saved with the chart and apply everywhere it renders: on screen, in PDF and PNG exports, on shared public pages, and in set lists. The chart header was slimmed too: title and artist share one line, style sits at the top right, and the key line is gone.
Fixes: The "chords are too long to fit" warning no longer appears falsely (and now catches real crowding it used to miss). PDF exports lost their oversized top margin. Opening a saved chart now retries automatically on a connection hiccup instead of showing a scary error. Admin got a New Verified Today stat and a cleaner feature-request reply display.

Chord Progression Updates
Jul 21, 2026
The Chord Progression Chart Maker just got a big round of upgrades. The chord keyboard can now place a quarter rest, an eighth rest, or N.C. (no chord) on any beat. Eighth rests push a chord to the "and" of its beat for syncopated hits, and in compound meters like 12/8 a full-beat rest is automatically drawn as a dotted quarter rest, just like it should be. Navigation signs (now including D.C. al Fine and D.S. al Fine) each carry a little x in the editor, so you can remove a sign without disturbing the bar under it.
Also new: undo, redo, and + bar buttons right on the bottom keyboard, a + Intro button that drops a labeled 4-bar intro at the top of your chart, a workspace zoom (50-150%) so you can see the whole song while you edit, and the keyboard's note keys now type into the Key field when it's focused. Exports and shared charts render all of it, and everything works on iPad. Just for fun I charted out "Kiss" by Prince today and its live on the learn section.

Ukulele tabs, and smarter string switching
Jul 15, 2026
The tab editor now writes ukulele tab: set the Strings dropdown to 4 and pick Ukulele (GCEA) or Baritone Uke (DGBE) from the Tuning menu. Switching string counts also lands on the right instrument automatically: 4 strings starts as bass (EADG), 5 as 5-string bass with the low B, 6 as standard guitar, and 7 adds the low B.

Lyrics auto-scroll: set a start delay, saved per song
Jun 20, 2026

Smarter set list attachments, plus lyrics Mono & Auto-scroll
Jun 20, 2026
Your song attachments now belong to the specific set list you add them to. So the same song can carry different files on different lists, like a chord chart in one key for one singer and another key for a second singer.
Need the same file on more than one list? Open a song and tap the new "Use existing" button to copy a PDF over from another set list. Files for the same song show up first.
Deleting is safer too. Removing an attachment only affects the set list you delete it from. Copies on your other set lists are never touched.
We also upgraded the full-screen lyrics view: a new Mono button keeps hand-aligned spacing lined up (handy for chord-over-lyric sheets), and Auto-scroll lets you read hands-free at an adjustable speed, on stage or while practicing.
