• Your User Content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
• Your User Content does not violate any applicable laws or these Terms

Exported Content

When you export, download, or generate shareable content (including images, PDFs, and embed codes) from Guitar Scribble, you are solely responsible for how that content is used, shared, or distributed. Guitar Scribble provides tools for creating and exporting content but does not host, store, or control exported content once it leaves our Service.

You agree that:

• You have the necessary rights to any content you export and share
• You will not use exported content in ways that infringe on third-party copyrights
• You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws when sharing exported content on third-party platforms
• Guitar Scribble is not liable for any claims arising from your distribution of exported content
• You will not remove watermarks or attribution links in exported materials.

4. Copyright and Intellectual Property

Respect for Copyright

Guitar Scribble respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. You agree not to use our Service to:

• Upload, share, or distribute copyrighted material without authorization
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of musicians, composers, publishers, or other rights holders
• Misrepresent the ownership or origin of any content

Personal Use

Tabs created using Guitar Scribble should be for personal, educational, or other non-infringing purposes. If you transcribe copyrighted music, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable copyright laws, including fair use provisions where applicable.

Tool Provider Disclaimer

Guitar Scribble is a content creation tool, similar to word processors or graphic design software. We do not review, approve, or endorse User Content. We do not maintain a searchable database or library of copyrighted musical works. Users create and export their own content at their own discretion and risk.

DMCA Compliance

We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on our Service infringes your copyright, please contact us with a DMCA takedown notice including: identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the infringing material, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief. We will respond to valid notices and may remove infringing content and/or terminate repeat infringers.

Our Intellectual Property

The Guitar Scribble name, logo, website design, and proprietary features are our intellectual property. You may not use, copy, or distribute our branding or proprietary elements without written permission.

We do not guarantee that:

• Your data will be preserved indefinitely

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

• Your User Content
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in San Diego County, California, except where prohibited by law.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Guitar Scribble regarding the Service.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
